About my Art

Patterns in Nature, Astronomy, the stars and sky are a large influence my work. The seasons, creatures, flora/fauna, stories, myths and legends, inspire me to paint and draw. Artwork I create can sometimes be inspired by the ‘experience’ of the way light affects and distorts the atmosphere, environment and more importantly, our perception of what & how we see a moment in time.

Life, and places experienced, are natural influences, but perhaps more importantly, dreams, memory and the mystery of spirit & imagination.

Most of my paintings are in oil and/or acrylic paint and mixed media - painted on canvas and sometimes wood, always finished to a high standard for display.

About me (very small amount!)

I studied Art & Design and Art History in late 70's/early 80's. I have worked as a ‘hand bench’ silk screen printer, a sign writer, a ‘graphic designer’ and Illustrator. Then, a diversion to the drawing board, working in Technical drawing/CAD Engineering for a living. Over the years, London, Brighton, Sussex, Chester, Aberdeen Scotland have been my home. Now my journey has bought me to Norfolk, where I live with my husband and cat, creating Art full time.
